Day Two
The next day was sunday, so we walked to church.
This is the church praying together.
Worship was so fun, even though I couldn't understand a word.
After church, we went to this little food place (apparently, cars DO NOT stop for you to cross the street in Nicaragua) and had this...
Don't you just want to lick the screen?
No?
Okay, moving on.
The next on our to do list was a three hour drive in a 5 seat car with 8 people. Yeaaaaah. That went well.
No, I 'm kidding. It was great.
Except for, ya know, me getting a bruise on my hip from squishing.
Moving on.
So we got to where we were going. The dock.
Yeah that's right, the dock.
We were going on a ferry ride!
BOO-YAH!
Ahem.
This is a monkey that was on the dock.
A sign on the tree:
Peligros
Monos
Bravos
Which loosely translates: Hazard: Brazen Monkeys.
Which loosely translates: no monkey petting. *Sad Face*
Oh well.
We got on the ferry-boat (not fairy-boat) and bought our $1 tickets (about 23 córdobas).
We were off to the orphanage. Which happened to be on an island in the middle of a huge lake.
After an hour of shenanigans...
Erm, Yeah....
We got HERE:
You know you want to.
Ta-Da!
We then drove for an hour in a short bus (ha) over a nicely bricked road (suprising) to an turnoff with a not so good road.
As in, "Hold on to your hats, here comes a bump!" road.
When we reached the orphanage, I was, frankly, surprised at how... well off it was.
We also had the best lemonade in THE WORLD...
Ever.
I went to bed.
The sheets were better than mine. I noticed.
End of Day Two
So, what do you think?
This is really cool Shelby!
